St Agnes is a popular coastal village in North Cornwall, England. It is located not far from Mount Hawke, Penhallow, Porthtowan, Wheal Busy, and Perranporth and is one of 258 towns or villages in Cornwall in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The closest cities are Truro (population 20,920) and Plymouth (population 243,795).
St Agnes village is situated on a main road between Perranporth and Redruth. Historically it has been known for the mining of copper and tin (as well as arsenic), although this mining died out in the 1920s. The economy has also been based upon farming and fishing with tourism playing an increasingly important part.
With easy access to both the north and south coasts of Cornwall, and popular towns such as Newquay and Truro, St Agnes is an excellent location to base your Cornish holiday in.
